new and expanded! pagan law codes concerning rape
by peacefulpete ini was interested in the law codes of ancient middleeastern cultures to compare with the jewish law (aka mosaic law).
in a book entitled "old testament parallels, laws and stories from the ancient near east" (v. matthews and d.benjamin) i found many interesting things.
one that i thought i would mention is an issue often here discussed, that being the treatment of women as possessions.

Had a strange dream last night...

i meet this girl from india... she is dressed in a traditional looking outfit.
she is very attractive, aside from one problem: she has a disorder that causes her to grow hair all over her body and face.

i think the two moms(if you can call them that) should get the worst possible punishment for leaving these kids home alone.
the oldest was only ten and that is way to young to be left alone to care for the other children.

Exactly and it's rude stupid and disgusting. Some of the young guys I ride bikes with are constantly spitting. I used to just look away but lately I've been busting their butts over it.
On campus you couldn't think about walking around barefoot or you're asking for wet feet. These are our future leaders?

Swan I honestly don't believe those women. I'm sorry but to come out years later. Besides Arnold has been pretty upfront about many other things including groping women. A lesson learned here gals, if you want to believed don't wait until someone is famous before you speak out. Oh wait, he was famous, they didn't speak out until he ran for office. That makes them even less believable. Polictical agendas and all.
Amazing how that Hitler stuff didn't come out until the last minute too.
